Fotografiska Days - Cultural Fabric

Tasks: press work, curating and inviting a list of selected guests for the different days of the event. N.B. I worked on this project while at Reference Studios.

The event consisted of a weekend-long group exhibition, panel discussions, workshops, portfolio reviews, film screenings and a party featuring exciting new music selections. Bringing together the work of local and internationally acclaimed artists, experts, moderators, and speakers, the program was dedicated to proposing new ideas and fostering essential dialogues about contemporary visual culture and its values related to representation and meaning.

The starting point was a critically reflection on the power of visual language in relation to art and fashion by rereading diverse image- and brand-making strategies, including their creative and subversive potential. The instability of images in different media was addressed, alongside the emancipatory potential of their consumption and interpretation.

Unfolding across three days (March 23 – 25 2023), Fotografiska Days took place at Berlin’s Atelier Gardens, formerly an iconic film campus overlooking Tempelhofer Feld.
